New Year Honour for Graham Manly
Graham Manly, business-development director with Gratte Brothers and a former president of the Heating & Ventilating Contractors’ Association and the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers, has been awarded an OBE in the New Year Honours List. He is a fellow of CIBSE.
Among his other positions have been chairman of BSRIA from 1991 to 1993 and serving on the board of SummitSkills.
He is chairman of HVCA’s communications committee and has been a member of its technical committee for nearly 40 years.

His contribution is not just within our own organisation, helping to make sure that the right training and development are available to meet current and future demands.
‘He has also played an important part in other groups and organisations which have influenced the shape of our sector. His years of working in building services engineering and his experience of running his own company have equipped him with insight which, combined with a passion to keep improving the sector, make him a valued member of any team. This honour is well deserved.’
