LG launches new generation of VRF air-conditioning products

LG’s latest range of VRF air-conditioning products, the Multi V III, is designed for commercial buildings, office complexes and large retail outlets. Its three key benefits are higher energy efficiency, larger capacity and longer piping lengths. Multi V III is designed to reduce operating costs, be environmentally friendly and provide reliable heat in cold regions.

Features to reduce noise levels include brushless DC motors driving V-scroll inverters with high-pressure oil-return technology (HiPOR), low-noise fan motors and a newly developed shroud shape. HiPOR achieves a COP for heating of 4.58 and EER for cooling of 4.27 — improvements of 11 and 25%, respectively.

Another feature is the continuation of heating during defrost with minimal reduction in heat output.

Units have capacities of 20 to 80 hp, and a system can serve up to 64 indoor units with a total piping length of up to 1000 m. Units can be transported in a lift.

Installation aids include real-time fault prediction, virtual sensor back-up function, auto-test run, pump down and pump out, auto refrigerant charging, automatic emergency back-up in the event of a compressor malfunction and a powerful LGMV program so installers can check on a system’s operational status from anywhere and at any time.

Multi V III comes with a 5-year warranty for equipment supplied and fitted by LG approved installers.
