To Russia with love

Sontay, control, sensor
The marriage of Sontay sensors and measurement devices with environmental control systems in this Marriage Palace in Siberia helps create the right climate for perfect weddings.

Sontay is helping to create the right climate for perfect weddings with the installation of sensors and measurement devices at the new Marriage Place near Tyumen in Siberia. Commissioned by the Tyument City Administration, the opulent 4000 m2 Marriage Palace was created to provide modern and luxurious space for civil ceremonies. The building has four floors with four halls for marriage ceremonies, registration, eating and divorce proceedings. There is also basement storage.

The extensive BMS installed by Russian systems integrator Delta Controls includes over a hundred Sontay light-level sensors, temperature and humidity sensors, air differential-pressure switches, liquid-pressure sensors and water-detection sensors.

Local companies were invited to tender, and Delta Controls with its partner construction company Astoria won the bid for its state-of-the-art solution.

Mikhail Trifonov, general director at Delta Controls, says, ‘Sontay has the perfect products for this type of building-services control application. We have been using Sontay since 2000, and it is the best sensor supplier for us.’

The light sensors supplied return a linear 0 to 10 V DC signal representing the lux level at the sensor, which is typically used for dimming and/or switching lights on and off as required.

Air differential-pressure switches provide an important indicator of fan status and filter-dirty conditions in air-conditioning and ventilation plant.
