JS Wright wins Premier Inn contract in Bath

JS Wright, contractor

Low-carbon services are to be installed for a new Premier Inn in the centre of Bath by JS Wright under a £1 million contract with A&H Construction. This project follows a contract with A&H for services for the new 150-bed Drayton Manor Theme Park Hotel in Tamworth in 2011.

Plant for the Premier Inn will include gas-fired CHP as part of the hot-water supply. Heat will also be recovered form the main ventilation plant. Air conditioning will be provided by VRF systems.

All services will meet the size constraints of a conservation area, which involves making use of limited space for housing plant and distributing services.

Work starts on site in February 2013 for the hotel to open in the summer. It is JS Wright’s second project for Premier Inns, following the 158-room hotel in Greenwich in 2010.
