Standard Control Systems fits the bill at Pioneer Point

Standard Controls Systems has installed comprehensive systems for building energy management and tenant billing for the Pioneer Point development in Essex. The project has an energy centre with three mini CHP units coupled to a thermal store, five gas-fired boilers and a dedicated twin-head primary pump supplying LPHW to two secondary heating distribution circuits.

There are interface units in apartments, and the systems are served by dedicated pressurisation units on the primary, tertiary and quad systems — all of which are controlled and monitored by a Trend IQ3 system.

After extensive research, Standard Control Systems chose the Prodion system from SyxthSense. This M-bus metering solution provides advanced and accurate ways to collect and store energy information from buildings. SyxthSense provided the M-bus network equipment and Prodion software for automatic meter reading. A tenant billing module provides a cost-effective and simple way of generating energy bills.

As well as the Trend BEMS, there are 293 Tome water meters, 293 Electric Pro-75 meters, 293 Kamstrup energy meters, three Kamstrup 250D network controllers for the heat interface units — and the all-important Prodion billing system.
