J. S. Wright wins London regeneration contract
The fit-out of one of London’s biggest regeneration scheme is being carried out by J. S. Wright in a contract worth about £3.4 million. The company has been commissioned by Galliford Try Partnerships to install mechanical services for a new health-and-social-care centre and 170 mixed-tenure apartments in White City. Work started on this £27 million regeneration project in January and is due for completion in December 2013.
Services include a chilled and low-pressure hot-water distribution system from a dedicated plant room to 4-pipe fan-coil units in the 2-storey health centre. Other work will include radiant heaters, overdoor heaters, boosted cold-water services and above-ground drainage.
There will also be a central boiler house that includes CHP, associated heat-interface units, LPHW heating and domestic water services for the apartments over six floors.
The new residential accommodation will have whole-house extract ventilation, car-park and smoke ventilation, and above-ground drainage
