Eurovent Certification scheme for VRF kicks off
A Eurovent Certification scheme for VRF air conditioning is now up and running following the approval by the launch committee of the operational manual and rating standards. This is a voluntary scheme, and test reports will be available to participants before 30 September 2013. This date is also the deadline for Eurovent Certification to publish certified performance for the full scope of the programme.
The launch committee comprises eight manufacturing companies, and other manufacturers are invited to participate in the scheme.
There are certification categories for products with cooling capacities below and above 50 kW.
As with other certified data since the end of November 2012, the test data will be made available to the common database EDIBATEC, which is used as a data library by major thermal-calculation software for buildings.
