RED opens office in Turkey

RED Engineering Design, Turkey

International MEP engineering consultancy RED Engineering Design has opened an office in Istanbul, Turkey, prompted by its fourth major new contract in the country in recent months. The firm already has offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Manila, Muscat and Singapore.

The office is run by technical direct Kerim Oktay, strongly supported by London-based director Ken McLean.

Kerim Oktay says, ‘Turkey’s economy is expanding at over twice the rate of most EU countries. Its infrastructure is relatively undeveloped, and it has a young population of over 74 million people. Demand here is set to grow phenomenally, and we intend to grow with it. RED offers the ideal combination of international expertise with local delivery in Turkey.

RED is enjoying a growing reputation in Turkey for data centres. The latest project, a new-build facility for a major bank, will set a world-class benchmark for energy-efficient design.
