Gas-fired heat-exchange modules from Powrmatic

Powrmatic, gas fired heat exchange modules, space heating

Powrmatic has launched an improved range of gas-fired heat-exchange modules in response to increasing demand from the air-handling and process-heating markets. Designated HEM, there are 22 units with outputs from 10 to 200 kW. Higher outputs can be obtained from multiple units in tandem or banked configuration. Each unit can be specified for on/off, high/low or modulating gas-input rates, with output ratios further enhanced in multi-unit configurations.

There is a choice of aluminium or stainless-steel heat exchangers. Flue collector boxes are of stainless steel and equipped with a condensate drain. Units can be installed within horizontal or vertical airflows and arranged for ‘flue-only’ or sealed combustion circuit room-sealed mode. The burner and controls can be directly mounted onto the heater or encased within a console, which can be weatherproofed.

Optimum aspect ratios and reduced width enable these modules to replace hot-water or steam coils in existing air-handling units. There are arrangements for bypass air.
