Water-cooled VRF air conditioning

LG, air conditioning, VRF, water cooled

LG’s Multi V Water II water-cooled VRF air-conditioning system is specifically designed for high-rise buildings. It can serve up to 64 indoor units to provide heating and cooling and also provides instant water heating. The system is geothermal ready and can also be operated with a boiler/cooling tower combination — or a combination of both. Heat can be rejected into existing building condenser water loops.

Tests have shown that the COP for this water-cooled system is up to 28% better than an air-cooled system.

Water-cooled ‘outdoor’ units are up to 60% smaller than their air-cooled counterparts. They can also be installed in indoor plant rooms.

Units are available with 10 and 20 hp ratings. The 20 hp unit has one inverter-driven scroll compressor and one fixed-speed scroll compressor; it can operate from just one compressor in the event of the inverter compressor failing.

There is a 5-year warranty for equipment supplied and fitted by LG approved installers.
