Oventrop scores at football training centre

Oventrop, solar thermal, renewable energy, DHW, domestic hot water
Helping to produce hot water for this training facility of Colchester United is an Overtop solar-thermal system.

A high-capacity solar thermal system at Colchester United’s new training facilities helps to supply hot water for around 80 showers a day. There are eight roof-mounted Oventrop OKG-CS22 high-capacity flat-plate collectors with an anti-reflective glass to increase transmission by 5% over regular glass.

The system at the £3.5 million Florence Park project also includes two 500 l twin-coil cylinders and is automatically regulated by an Oventrop Regtronic wall-mounted control package with pre-installed switching schemes.

Blueflame Services was responsible for the design and installation of the M&E services.
