Space Air supports refurbishment for Duke of Edinburgh’s Award
Daikin distributor Space Air took on full project management to install VRV air conditioning in the London office of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE), working with approved Daikin installer Air Improve. The new facilities include open-plan and modern office, and a training facility.
Space Air administered the formal planning application and arranged for the decommissioning, removal and recycling of the previous equipment.
The new installation includes two VRV heat-pump systems with integrated heat-recovery ventilation and a combination of roundflow and flat cassettes. A dedicated cooling system for the server room was also installed. All the equipment is controlled by Daikin’s centralised Intelligent Manager.
Over the next three years, the DofE charity will work with over 100 000 young Londoners — helping them to develop life skills, build confidence and stand out in the increasingly competitive jobs market.
Space Air has been an active supporter of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award for 15 years, initially as a Charter for Business member and now as a Silver Partner.
