Rinnai keeps campers and caravanners in hot water

Rinnai, domestic hot water, DHW
Hot water for toilets and shower blocks at this site in Gloucestershire is provided by Rinnai continuous-flow water heaters.

Previous experience with Rinnai Infinity condensing continuous-flow water heaters using LPG has led to Croft Farm Leisure & Waterpark in Gloucestershire installing more units to replace an electric system. The first heaters were installed five years ago in a fitness centre housing a gym, sauna and sunbed facilities, and in a separate shower block.

The latest work involved upgrading a shower and toilet block using external units, which, incidentally, do not need flues. The site offers 80 tent and touring pitches and static facilities that are served by nearby toilet and shower blocks. Other facilities include a laundry and dishwashing sinks.

Alan Newell, owner of the site, explains, ‘The electric instantaneous water heaters had reached the end of their lifespan, so we wanted to switch to the Rinnai heaters we have elsewhere in the park.

‘We first approached Rinnai five years ago after seeing ads in the trade press, so I called them and they were very helpful. Plus our plumber Bob Place was very keen to use them.

‘At the moment, we are running off 47 kg LPG canisters, but we do plan to install an LPG tank next year [2014].’
