Rubicon Court is one of three apartment blocks on the King’s Cross redevelopment using Durapipe’s sound-attenuated drainage system.

Durapipe’s Friaphon sound-attenuated drainage system has been installed in three apartment blocks that are part of the King’s Cross regeneration project. The systems in Rubicon Court, Saxon Court and Roseberry Mansions serve a total of 260 homes.

Contractor Kylemore was looking for a drainage system that could offer superb sound-insulation properties in a cost-effective way, leading to 110 mm Friaphon being installed for all soil and rainwater drainage requirements.

Friaphon is a purpose-designed system. It is cheaper to install than cast iron as it does not need to be lagged and has a push-fit assembly.

This major redevelopment will ultimately deliver over 1900 new homes, 315 000 m2 net of office space and 46 000 m2 of retail space. 20 historic buildings and structures are being restored and refurbished.
