A key contract win — Alan O’Brien, chief executive officer of Sabien.

Sabien Technology has been awarded a 4-year contract to install its M2G boiler-optimisation technology across the estate of Lincolnshire County Council (LCC). The contract is estimated to be worth £2.2 million and is expected to be completed by September 2017. The first phase includes 70 schools.

LCC has developed an Eco-Schools framed in collaboration with the Carbon Trust to support schools in reducing energy costs and carbon emissions. Part of this framework is for LCC to offer schools the installation of certain proven technologies at no cost, including boiler optimisation.

Steve Golightly, senior sustainability officer for LCC, said, ‘Sabien’s experience in successfully delivering large-scale roll-outs of boiler-load optimisation and the quality of their M2G offering were key factors in the contract award.’
