Liverpool energy centre in topping out ceremony

The topping out of the CHP energy centre at the old Royal Infirmary mortuary building in Liverpool was marked by placing this 11.2 x 4 m penthouse louvre section on the roof of the Grade 2 listed building. The energy centre includes two CHP engines, and the penthouse louvre section meets their need for ventilation.

Vital Energi installed a pair of 2 MW(e) engines, which have a combined weight of 46 t, on the first floor.
