Daikin Emura wins major design award

Daikin, VRF, VRV, air conditioning

Daikin’s Emura air-conditioning unit has won the world-renowned 2014 Red Dot Award for product design in the air-conditioning category. Designed in Europe to satisfy a European aesthetic, Emura has an aerodynamic and extremely slim profile that makes a modern design statement on any wall. Innovative compressor technology delivers efficiencies of up to A+++ and sound levels as low as 19 dB(A).

Patrick Crombez, senior manager at Daikin Europe NV, said, ‘This award demonstrates just how well the new Daikin Emura blends elegant design with state-of-the-art technology. Its stylish silhouette, quality materials and exceptional finish are matched by equally outstanding efficiency levels.’

These units can be controlled via WiFi or from a distance using an app for Apple and Android platforms. An intelligent presence sensor saves energy when a room is empty and directs airflow to avoid cold draughts, reducing power consumption dramatically compared with typical air-conditioning units.

Emura is available in silver anthracite or pure matt white.
