Timoleon has become the sole UK distributor for Alpha-InnoTec, one of Europe’s best known specialists for ground-source and air-source heat pumps. These heat pumps will be promoted and installed alongside solar-thermal systems (including collectors and storage cylinders), whole-house ventilation systems and heat-recovery systems.

One of the heat pumps is the air-source LWD 70A/SX, which has an independently verified COP of 4.35 and which can qualify for an RHI payment of 7.3 p/kWh. These heat pumps can produce hot water at up to 70°C, making them suitable as a direct replacement for a conventional gas boiler.

Qualifying for RHI payments of 18.8 p/kWh are the SWC 120S and SWC 140S ground-source heat pumps. They incorporate components such as the brine expansion tank, circulator and safety devices. Manifolds and ground arrays are also available.

These air-source and ground-source heat pumps are MCS approved.

Alpha-InnoTec also make air-source units with outputs over 30 kW and ground-source models of 160 kW.
