Water Event 2014

CentraLine, Water Event 2014

The Honeywell stand at the 2014 Water Event at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, was well attended — with contractors and specifiers all very interested in the latest range of water-control products.

Honeywell’s water-control products span a wide range of products and systems required for the effective management of potable (drinking) water.

New products included the Sea Hawk leak-detection system for commercial and industrial buildings, which features the CentraLine Hawk integration controller for the monitoring, detection and alarming of water leaks over distances up to 1000 metres in both area and specific locations.

Sea Hawk leak detection can be installed as a standalone system or fully integrated with a building management system (BMS).

The D15S range of diaphragm-operated pressure-reducing valves was exhibited for the first time in the UK, with flange fittings from DN65 to DN100. Rated at PN16 and providing stabilised outlet pressure of 1.5 to 6.5 bar, they are ideally suitable for commercial, industrial and large or multi-dwelling residential applications.

Suitable for reducing the risk of legionella, the Alwa-Comfort and the Alwa-Kombi-4 were also shown on the stand. They are used as throttling and balancing valves in potable-water distribution applications wherever more stringent hygienic or comfort requirements apply.

Honeywell also displayed the F76 reverse-rinsing filters, which are ideal for preventing the ingress of foreign bodies such as rust particles, grains of sand etc.

The reverse-rinsing feature allows manual or automatic cleaning of the filters by flushing out trapped particulates without disconnecting or interrupting the utility supply.

Senior account manager Brian Lipscombe comments, ‘The Water Event was an excellent showcase for our water control products.

‘We were very happy to meet both new and established customers who are actively involved or interested in installing or specifying Honeywell water products.’
