SPIE refurbishes Lotherton Hall

SPIE

SPIE, which offers multi-technical services, has completed refurbishment works at Lotherton Hall, which is owned by Leeds City Council. This manor was once owned by the Gascoigne family.

The recently completed work included the renovation of the hall’s fashion galleries to create a contemporary space capable of welcoming thousands of visitors a year.

The development cost over £500 000 and incorporated extensive fire-strategy improvements. Additional emergency lighting and an external fire escape were also fitted.

Andy Shuttler, branch manager with SPIE, said, ‘When you work on a building as beautiful as Lotherton Hall, you know that there are a lot of people placing their trust in you — including the general public. Such a venture was bound to be challenging, but we worked tirelessly to deliver everything within three phases — from the initial designs to the final finishing touches.’
