Grundfos puts science on a firm footing

Grundfos Pumps

To ensure the successful operation of a new super microscope at Lund University in Sweden, it is essential that all the equipment in the facility creates little or no vibration. The new microscope will have the brightest synchrotron light source in the world, and vibration could affect the brightness of this light source.

Grundfos provided a complete bespoke pump solution to support the facility, delivering the pumps on inertia bases to help absorb any vibration.

The new facility could pave the way for new energy production, artificial photo-synthesis or new medicines.
