BACnet controller for terminal units

The DXR range of BACnet controllers from Siemens Building Technologies offers robust control for various widely used terminal units. The controls are easy to install, saving money at the outset. They can support the efficient use of energy by occupants with the help of the Green Leaf programme. If there is a green leaf on the display, the system is operating efficiently. If the leaf turns red, simply pushing a button restores the system to its most energy-efficient setting. Calculations based on BS EN 15232 show that Green Leaf can save up to 25% of energy use.

These controllers are suitable for fan coils, VAV and fan-assisted VAV units. The are suitable for new-build and refurbishment projects.

DXR controllers are future proofed because they are available with BACnet MS/TP and BACnet IP — so they are internet ready and can be linked to local area networks. This capability enables controllers to be managed remotely by, for example, hand-held devices.

The use of the Siemens PL link enables a large number of devices to be connected — such as room sensors, occupancy sensors and room units. The PL link enables devices to configure themselves, so engineers do not need to find devices on the system.

DXR controllers are supplied with proven and tested control applications.
