Holiday park renovation opts for Rinnai storage water heater

Rinnai, domestic hot water, DHW

As part of the renovation of a shower block at Wooda Farm Holiday Park in Cornwall a Rinnai Infinity Sola gas-fired storage recirculator water heater has been installed. The site has 55 holiday homes, two cottages and pitches for touring and camping. Facilities include three toilet and shower blocks with private wash cubicles, family bathrooms and dishwashing areas. the are also two 24-hour launderettes.

Site owner Graeme Colwell was already a convert to Rinnai continuous-flow water heaters, which are used across the site, and Rinnai consultant Scott Humphries suggested he might try something a little different. The recirculating system was proposed as the options for direct continuous flow were limited. The storage capacity enables the maximum rate of gas supply to be reduced.

The Solo range includes 35 and 60 kW appliances. The stainless-steel cylinder greatly reduces the weight compared to glass-lined and other gas-fired storage models. Heat loss can be less than 6 W (1.41 kWh a day).
