Sir Ranulph Fiennes to speak at BSRIA Briefing

BSRIA Briefing

Sir Ranulph Fiennes is to be the guest speaker at this year’s BSRIA Briefing and lunch on 17 November. The event will look at the issue of performance and wellbeing beyond compliance and will be held at The Brewery in London.

He is the first person to reach both the North Pole and South Pole by foot. He has also completed seven marathons on seven continents, including Antarctica, in seven days, soon after receiving emergency heart surgery.

He then took up climbing, starting with the North Face of the Eiger and became the oldest Briton, at the age of 65, to reach the top of Everest at his third attempt.

It is well known that 80% of the buildings needed for 2050 already exist. The briefing will look at the requirements within these buildings to accommodate the changing and varied expectations of occupants, while not forgetting energy/carbon targets. Building services are at the heart of realising these opportunities and delivering the built environment of the future.
