LG has enlarged is offering to the UK air-conditioning market with the Multi V VRF range.
LG’s Multi V VRF air-conditioning system can power up to 40 indoor units and is initially available in two sizes — 4.5 and 40 hp. Tony Gittings of LG says, ‘This is our move into this part of the air-conditioning market. We are planning further launches with products that will strive to be the industry’s benchmark standard in the VRF sector. Outdoor units have one inverter-driven and one high-efficiency compressor. The distribution of refrigerant is designed to be uniform and effective. R410A is the refrigerant. There is also non-polar communication between outdoor and indoor units and an auto-restart facility. Indoor units can be any mixture of up to 40 cassettes, wall mounted, ducted or Art Cool. The longest pipe run can be up to 170 m, with a maximum vertical height of 50 m. The outdoor units uses auto addressing to provide automatic conformation of each indoor unit without having to set DIP switches — greatly reducing installation time. A self-diagnostic programme enables problems to be identified during installation, commissioning and operation. Error codes indicate the nature of the problem.
