Recupovent range updated

AHU
Specific fan power less than 2.0 W/l/s and energy-recovery efficiency of up to 80% — the updated range of Recupovent ventilation/heat-recovery units from Thermal Technology covers 20 to 2500 l/s.
Thermal Technology has updated and revised its range of Recupovent ventilation/heat-recovery units. Two sizes have been added to the range, which now has 12 sizes spanning 20 to 2500 l/s. All units are constructed with anodised-aluminium pentaposts and have 25 mm-thick double-skin panels with 60 kg/m3 mineral fibre for good thermal and acoustic performance. All the recuperators are Eurovent certified and transfer energy between exhaust air and incoming fresh air. There are two choices of plate recuperator. They offer efficiencies of 50 to 60% and 60 to 70%. Under certain conditions, efficiency can reach 80%. Such high energy-recovery efficiency means that condensation may form, so integral drain trays are standard. All fans are directly driven, which is more efficient than belts and pulleys and reduces maintenance. Fan-speed controllers are available. All fans have a specific fan power that is lower than the requirement of 2.0 W/l/s in Part L2 of the Building Regulations. Water or electric heater batteries can be added.
