New LG air-conditioning unit simplifies system control

LG’s Universal Synchro outdoor unit for air-conditioning systems is available for two, three or four branch pipes
LG’s Universal Synchro outdoor unit for multi-split air-conditioning systems produces very little noise through the use of MPS technology. It uses R410A. These units have two compressors. One runs at constant speed and the other is a DC inverter compressor. The MPS control system uses the correct compressor or combination of compressors to best meet the cooling requirements. At the start of a cycle, both compressors will usually operate to achieve the required temperature as quickly as possible. The inverter-controlled compressor will then meet the load. The same indoor units are used as with the Universal range. The name Synchro derives from the ease with which a system can be synchronised for simultaneous on/off operation using a single wired remote control or, in the case of a convertible unit, an infra-red remote control. There are three Synchro variants to serve two, three or four branch pipes. The design of the branch pipes maintains uniform refrigerant distribution without the need for additional work.
