Fujitsu moves into larger VRF air-conditioning systems

Fujitsu has added a large-capacity 2-pipe R410A VRF air-conditioning system to its product line up. The V Series enables three outdoor units to be connected in series to deliver a total capacity of 120 kW. An additional 50% connectivity for indoor units is also possible, giving a total of 180 kW — offering greater design freedom and reducing the number of indoor units and installation space compared with conventional models. The launch of this range enables Fujitsu to operate more effectively in the specified sector. The outdoor units are described as effectively reducing the roof space needed by up to a third on a typical 80 kW system. Units incorporate a new high-efficiency DC inverter control compressor to provide more precise operation and improve system efficiency — resulting an energy and cost savings.
VRF
Fujitsu has increased its offering for large-capacity VRF air-conditioning systems with the launch of the V Series.
The maximum piping length is 150 m, with 60 m allowed between the first separation tube and the farthest indoor unit, allowing a huge degree of flexibility on larger buildings. The height difference between indoor and outdoor units can be up to 50 m. The use of non-polar wiring for control considerably reduces the amount of wiring required. A wide range of indoor units is available — ranging from a 2.2 kW cassette, floor/ceiling and wall units, up to a large-capacity 25.4 kW ducted unit.
