Buderus rises to the challenge at Croke Park Stadium

Croke Park
Not having a minimum return temperature or minimum flow rate considerably simplified the installation of these three Buderus boilers at the new Croke Park Stadium in Dublin.
Heating for the various sports and leisure facilities at the new Croke Park Stadium in Dublin is provided by three Buderus Boilers. They were specified by consulting engineers JV Tierney & Co. for their efficiency, reliability and installation benefits. A particular design feature of the three GE615 cast-iron boilers, each with an output of 1200 kW, is Buderus patented Thermostream technology which enables them to be installed without a minimum return temperature or minimum flow rate. This removes the need for the installation of additional pumps and mixing valves and their associated maintenance. It also provides built-in protection against thermal stresses, improving boiler reliable and reducing energy wastage. The boilers were installed by T. Bourke & Co. Croke Park Stadium is the new home of the Gaelic Games and also hosts international rugby and soccer. Its capacity of over 82 000 people makes it the largest stadium in Ireland and the fourth largest in Europe.
