Managing director Bernard Patrick explains, ‘During product development and certification, we have been made aware that it is common practice to fit manual over-rides to electronic controllers and gas valves. Whilst we understand that owners and managers of commercial premises do not want complete closedown due to controller malfunction, manual over-rides are extremely unwise and not the answer. ‘ We believe the answer lies in producing a device with failure rates so low that controller malfunction is extremely unlikely. Even so, our modular system design philosophy gives a service engineer an opportunity for instant replacement should this be necessary.’ All electrical parts are protected to IP65, allowing simple hygiene procedures to be carried out safely and efficiently with complete confident. All electrical components, including gas valves and sensors, are double insulated and washable.
