Available in five sizes from 30 to 200 kW — Clyde Energy Solutions Unical Trio range of biomass boilers.
Clyde Energy Solutions has added new biomass boilers to its sustainable-energy range. The Unical Trio is a 3-pass steel boiler matched with the Iwabo wood-pellet burner. Five models provide outputs from 30 to 200 kW. Clyde can supply these boilers as part of a complete package, including indoor and outdoor storage silos and advice on specification, commissioning, installation and maintenance. Wood pellets are fed horizontally by a screw feeding pellets at a controlled rate to match the burner rating. Ignition is by an electrically heated coil or hot air gun; gas is not required. Once the set temperature has been reached, the burner begins to burn down. The main fuel feed ceases, and the internal feed continues to empty the grate of pellets. At the end of burn down, a blast of compressed air cleans the grate of ash, which can be cooled in the bottom of the boiler for subsequent removal with a standard vacuum cleaner hose. The fuel consumption for the 30 kW model is just over 8 kg/h at full load, so that two weeks of fuel supply requires 5 m3 of storage. The 200 kW boiler burns 50 kg/h at full load and requires 28 m3 of fuel storage for two weeks.
