Modular timers, twilight switches and staircase timer

timers
Modular timers, twilight switches and staircase timers have been introduced by Eaton Electric.
Eaton Electric has introduced a range of modular timers, twilight switches and staircase timers for residential and commercial applications. It extends from one-day and 7-day timers to advanced units with software and memory cards for accelerated programming. There are digital one-year timers, a combined 7-day timer and twilight switch and standard and multi-functional staircase timers. Many of these devices are available in compact 18 mm versions for use where enclosure space is limited. All devices can be easily programmed from the front. Where appropriate, there is automatic summer and winter time adjustment and manual over-ride. Most have a power reserve. All these devices can be mounted on a DIN rail in a consumer unit or distribution board. Both digital and analogue timers have 16 A volt-free contacts, with a 3-day power reserve on all quartz-controlled analogue units and 18 months on digital timers. Twilight switches have a remote hard-wired sensor that can be up to 100 m away. The standard switch can have its sensitivity adjusted from 2 to 200 lx and has a 10 A changeover contact. A time delay eliminates spurious operation from, for example, car headlights. Staircase timers have a delay adjustable from 30 s to 20 min and 16 A normally open contacts. The multi-function version has a galvanically operated 8 to 240 V input for operation by an intercom or similar device.
