Significant installation benefits have been realised using the Pyrotenax Multi-Plus LSF cable system in the conversion of a 1920s coachworks in west London into an art gallery for the Louise T. Blouin Institute. The £20 million conversion to a 3200 m2 art gallery provides a showcase for established and emerging contemporary artists and performance art, as well as being the operating base for the Louise Blouin Foundation.

The exceptional handling characteristics of Multi-Plus, space, time and cost savings offered installer Jet Electrical Contractors significant installation advantages.

For general wiring, this lightweight pre-wired conduit is described as the ‘smart’ alternative to installing single-core cables in plastic or metal conduit and small-size armoured cables, and it is quick and easy to terminate. It is two-thirds lighter than 1 kV armoured cable, flexible, robust and retains its installed shape and position.

Rated at 600/1000 V, Multi-Plus LSF has an aluminium screen, which significantly reduces electrical interference to meet EMC requirements and saves space by eliminating the need for compartmental trunking. It has a low-smoke-and-fume outer sheath for excellent fire performance. The system can be fixed onto all common building surfaces and installed on cable trays, in roof spaces, in ducts and within partition walls.
