Panasonic cools hot fashion retailer

The Peacocks retail chain is planning to install Panasonic FS deluxe split-system air conditioning in 30 outlets this year — adding to a large number of its UK stores already cooled with Panasonic equipment. The systems will be supplied by PHM Distribution for new and refurbished stores. An installation in a typical Peacocks store includes four or five Panasonic FS systems, with a deluxe inverter outdoor unit and indoor cassette. There is also a wall-mounted deluxe inverter system for the office. All models use R410A. One of the newest installations is the recently opened store at Broad Street Mall in Reading. it has five outdoor units and five CS indoor cassettes, with a wall-mounted united. The equipment was installed by Bry-Kol Developments. Steve Hulson of PHM says, ‘We have held the national contract to supply FS air conditioners to Peacocks for the past seven years, and they have proved to be high-quality, efficient and ultra-reliable systems. They are very easy and cost effective to install, and they are engineered for flexibility — which means they can be installed in small spaces. This gives them a significant installed-cost advantage over other systems of comparable capacity.’
