Tested by two European organisations — Daikin’s MC707VM air purifier.
Daikin Europe has announced that its MC707VM air purifier has been approved to two testing institutions for restricting or removal high levels of nominated allergens. The TUV Nord Testing Laboratory for Indoor Air Hygiene has examined the ability of this air purifier to remove fine airborne particulates, paying special attention to allergenic indoor substances. The examination has proved the unit’s high efficiency. The British Allergy Foundation has granted the unit its Seal of Approval for reducing exposure to house dust mites, cat allergens, mould, tobacco smoke, pollen and formaldehyde. These air purifiers have a 7-layer filtering system, including Daikin’s ‘flash streamer’ technology to decompose chemical substances such as odours and formaldehyde into harmless substances. The flash streamer also promotes a photo-catalytic reaction on the surface of a titanium apatite photo-catalytic filter to decompose bacteria and viruses.
