Picture-management service is based on mobile telephones
Pictures taken using a mobile telephone can be uploaded in real time to an online gallery operated by Red Zebra Mobile so that they can be viewed anywhere by work colleagues, supervisors and management. The service works on any mobile telephone and does not require additional software. It is independent of the operator and works with CDMA and GSM systems. The service provides a means of sharing work issues, remote problem solving or recording daily work processes. This ability to remotely take and store digital images via the Internet means that staff do not have to travel to numerous remote sites. Instead, someone on site can take the shots and upload them. Time, date and location can also be captured and displayed. The Red Zebra service can also record audio at the same time as image capture to provide a voice record of a particular issue of problem There is also a facility to turn 30 s of audio recording into a Word document. For more information on this story, click here: April 08, 162
