Controlling natural ventilation for small projects

Controlled natural ventilation for single zones — WindowMaster’s NV SoloT system.
WindowMaster has introduced an electronic window-control programmer as part of its systems for natural cooling and ventilation control. Called NV SoloT, it enables WindowMaster to offer a compact and convenient solution to deliver consistent natural ventilation. This programmable and intelligent system automatically ensures that a window is in the position that will create and maintain the desired internal air temperature and close it if it starts to rain or the wind blows too strongly. The system is designed for single-zone applications such as showrooms, entrance areas, glazed corridors, atria and similar spaces where it is not practical to manually open and close windows. There are four parts to the NV SoloT system. An indoor control panel measures the indoor temperature and enables temperature and time settings to be programmed. An outdoor sensor measures rain, wind pressure and outdoor temperature. The sensors and control panel communicated with a motor on the window, powered by a small transformer. The sensors communicate wirelessly, so the only wiring is between the outdoor sensor, the transformer and the motor. NV SoloT is a much simplified and scaled-down version of the NV AdvanceT system for managing natural ventilation in larger projects such as schools and offices.
