Integrated heating modules extended up to 690 kW

Armstrong’s MBS integrated heating solutions are now available with outputs up to 690 kW.
Armstrong has extended its MBS range of integrated heating solutions, which comprise boilers and associated ancillary equipment installed onto a framework. These rigs are now available for applications up to 690 kW, compared with 120 to 320 kW previously. An MBS rig incorporates fully modulating boilers, variable-speed primary pumps, automatic fill/pressurisation unit and integrated controls — all pre-specified for optimum efficiency and preassembled for rapid installation on site. An MBS rig can achieve a seasonal efficiency of 94%, compared with the requirements of Part L2 of the Building Regulations of 84% in new build and 80% in existing buildings. MBS modules can pass through a standard doorway and be manoeuvred by one person without using specialist lifting equipment; a sack barrow will suffice. The modules bolt together, and all power and control cabling is ‘plug-and-play’. Just 45 minutes after offloading the modules, a 160 kW MBS can be fully piped and wired, ready to accept incoming electric feed and external pipe connects.
