Software makes fast work of designing VRF systems

The fast way to design VRF air-conditioning systems — E-solution from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries
A complete VRF air-conditioning system can be designed in minutes using software developed by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. E-solution is designed specifically for the company’s KX4 VRF systems and is free to building-services engineers. The software is suitable for 2- and 3-pipe systems and guides designers through the selection and location of the most cost-effective and energy-efficient combination of units, piping and controls. The designer can start with an equipment schedule and use the software to either develop a complete design or use a drag and drop menu to start with a schematic of the building and then select the right equipment for each room or zone. The software specifies the appropriate components and sizes and produces a full materials list. Wiring diagrams and complete engineering drawings are generated which can be exported to AutoCAD or saved in pdf format for printing. The company logo can be included. Finally, E-solution can produce a comprehensive operation and maintenance manual.
