Distribution boards separate power and lighting loads to help meet Part L requirements

Bespoke distribution boards from Legrand can meter lighting and power separately.
To help engineers design installations to meet the requirements of Part L, Legrand has introduced a range of combined power and lighting metered boards. Andy Wiles, product marketing manager, explains, β€˜The requirement to account for where at least 90% of energy usage is made means that consumption by end use is driving the separation of traditionally combined lighting and small-power final-distribution boards into spit loads, where the supplies to the power loads and to the lighting loads are metered separately. Aimed at meeting this need, our combined power and lighting boards provide bespoke solutions and aid compliance with the Part L requirements.’ These new boards are available as wall-mounted or for floor standing. Many types of meter can be integrated β€” from pulsed output to those signalling via various bus topologies. All solutions in the range are assembled in the factory, wired and tested.
