Siteco joins KNX UK Association

Siteco has become the UK’s largest UK manufacturer of indoor and outdoor lighting systems to join the KNX UK Association.
Siteco, the largest manufacturer in the UK of technical indoor and outdoor lighting systems to make KNX its preferred protocol for lighting and associated controls, has joined the KNX UK Association. This association represents manufacturers, integrators and users of KNX technology — as well as distributors and training establishments. Its membership is expected to top 50 by the end of 2008. KNX, formerly known as EIB European Installation Bus, is an intelligent building control standard for intelligent buildings. It enables the integration and programming of a range of products from different manufacturers, all thoroughly tested for compliance to ensure they operate seamlessly together on a single, simple network. KNX is said to be the world’s only open standard for home and building control and is compliant to EN 50090. Dave Fear, Siteco’s technical director, comments, ‘Open systems have paved the way for the ultimate in consumer choice in all aspects of our lives. They offer real choice of manufacturer, technical reliability and functionality. We see open systems as the only way forward in building controls and KNX as the superlative choice in open systems. The company also recognises the energy-saving potential offered by KNX and would like to enhance this with their unique fixed and moveable daylight shading and control systems.’ Full details of KNX technology and the vast range of KNX products available from available from KNX UK.
