Service underpins Kooltech 40% growth in AC orders

Air-conditioning growth through increased service — Kooltech’s Murray Sharp.
Mitsubishi Electric air-conditioning wholesaler Kooltech has seen a 40% growth in orders in the past year and is further expanding its operation with the opening of a new branch in Aberdeen. The growth has seen sales reach £21.6 million in the year to date, with the most significant results coming from the larger-VRF sector. Kooltech has also seen year-on-year increases across the full range of Mitsubishi Electric products as well as the complete range of ancillaries sold and supported by the company. Kooltech provides comprehensive technical support to consultants and contractors, which has seen a significant increase in specified project work. Managing director Murray Sharp explains that the success has come about as a result of the company’s deliberate policy of adding value to its customer offering. ‘We have focused on every aspect of what we do to increase the service we give our customers. We are now supplying an enhanced level of air-conditioning technical service, from initial design and equipment selection through to commissioning.’ To meet demand for this service, Kooltech continues to increase the number of application engineers it employs nationally at its eight branches.
