Humidifier monitoring and control by Internet

Axair
Defensor Mk5 humidifiers from Axair can now be monitored and controlled over the Internet.
Axair’s Defensor Mk5 humidifiers can now be monitored over the Internet by incorporating the CommNet telemonitoring system. The main elements of the system are a printed-circuit board that can be mounted internally or externally and recording and management software. The service organisation responsible for maintaining the humidifier can identify itself from any location via the Internet. Service requirements are sent by SMS to a mobile telephone or via e-mail. Each CommNet is identified by a unique GSM telephone number, although up to 16 Mk5 humidifiers can be connected to a system. Enquiries relating to humidity requirements, steam emission, operating hours, time to next servicing and water level can be made. Parameters such as control function and soft start can be adapted online. In addition, 10 digital and two analogue contacts are available for data transmission, and signals from other HVAC equipment can be transmitted via them.
