Waldmann develops special lighting solution for Amsterdam Stock Exchange

Waldmann lighting
The 22 m-high ceiling in the Amsterdam Stock Exchange posed particular problems for the lighting component of the refurbishment, for it was not possible to use direct/indirect light. The brief of the building operator was that visual comfort and an aesthetically pleasing environment for employees was a priority, both to reduce fatigue and costly errors caused by lack of concentration. Lighting company Waldmann therefore had to devise a unique solution to combine high-quality, energy-conscious lighting with flexible and efficient illumination of the workspace. The solution is based on Waldmann 2-stage switchable Tycoon desk-mounted luminaires for use at the workstations, which each have six to nine monitors, along with Structurelab RX1 reflection screens. These screens are an adaptable reflection and acoustic sail system that works with the Tycoon luminaires to provide lighting solutions with high ceilings to provide lighting that is free of glare, in accordance with national and international regulations.
