Ryder Cup venue plays host to Andrews Water Heaters
Domestic hot water for a new clubhouse being built at The Celtic Manor Resort in South Wales in preparation for the Ryder Cup golf tournament in 2010 will be provided by two Queen’s Award winning MAXXflo condensing storage water heaters. Facilities include a spike bar, pro’s shop and restaurant.
The two water heaters are installed in the roof-top plant room of the clubhouse to service all basins, sinks, bar areas and the kitchen. There are 11 showers, which can often be in use at the same time. The water heaters are under the control of the Trend building-management system, and each has a recovery rate of 1530 l/h through 50 K. The efficient heat exchanger, special burners and tank design enable hot water to be generated in condensing mode through up to 80% of the tank volume, achieving an efficiency of 109% (net).
A feature of these water heaters is anti-legionella function built into its design.
