Time running out for LCPB grant scheme

Dimplex
A grant scheme for low-carbon technologies such as ground-source heat pumps is expected to come to an end this summer.

Dimplex, one of the three approved ground-source heat-pump framework suppliers appointed by BERR, warns that Phase 2 of the Low Carbon Buildings Programme is expected to come to an end this summer. Public and not-for-profit organisations need to be planning now how to benefit from these microgeneration grants while they are still available.

Dimplex says it has helped more public-sector organisations to access these grants than any other supplier, with about three quarters of heat-pump applications to date specifying Dimplex equipment.

Grants of up to 50% are available to the public sector for installing microgeneration technologies. For ground-source heat pumps, the grants can contribute to capital costs, ground works and commissioning. Dimplex advises anyone interested in the scheme to get their application in by June.
