Panasonic serves up new air conditioning for hotel restaurants in Yorkshire

Among new Panasonic air-conditioning equipment in Rotherham’s Carlton’s Carlton Park Hotel are these long-throw units in the conservatory.

Renovating its restaurants after a serious kitchen fire provided the opportunity for a Yorkshire hotel to upgrade its air-conditioning systems with Panasonic equipment. Inverter-controlled systems from the Flexi System and RAC ranges were installed in the Carlton Park Hotel in Rotherham.

The kitchen fire caused extensive fire, smoke and water damage to the roof, as well as to ceilings and air-conditioning systems in the adjoining restaurants and conservatory. Air-conditioning contractor Cool Comfort replaced the ducted system with five independent Panasonic single and multi-split solutions.

The two main restaurant areas are served by 4-way 90x90 FS inverter cassettes with a cooling capacity of 5.6 kW and heating of 7.0 kW.

The smaller room has a single split with one cassette driven by a 2.5 hp outdoor unit.

The larger space has a multi-split with two cassettes driven by a 5.0 hp outdoor unit.

The conservatory has three inverter single-split systems from the RAC range, each with a cooling capacity of 7.7 kW and 9.6 kW of heating through indoor units mounted high on the wall.

Paul Aizporietis, a director of Cool Comfort, says the three systems in the conservatory comfortably achieve 7 m air throws to cover the entire area.
