Grundfos plays supporting role at Pinkpop Festival
Grundfos pumps played a vital support role at this year’s Pinkpop Festival providing water supply and sanitation services
Supporting the provision of water services for this year’s Pinkpop Festival in The Netherlands, which attracted 60 000 visitors, were 2.8 km of temporary pipes and a selection of Grundfos pumps. Headline acts this year were Bruce Springstein, Depeche Mode and Franz Ferdinand.
The festival was served by 823 toilets and 281 showers using 2.5 Ml of water — with just as much waste water to dispose of .
At the heart of the pressure-boosting system were three Grundfos CR 45/2 inline pumps. The wastewater solution comprised 12 storage tanks complete with AVD mixers and 12 Grundfos SEG sewage grinder pumps to support the treatment and removal of waste water. A large SE1 pump provided back-up for peak times.
