Building-services team reaches summit of Mount Kilimanjaro

Mount Kilimanjaro

A team from the building-services industry has raised over £33 000 for charity by successfully reaching the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. Shown at the peak are (from left) Keith Jones (Wolseley), Peter Fletcher and David McLean (both of Grundfos), Carl Arntzen (Worcester Bosch), Duncan Cooper (Grundfos) and Nick Whitwell (Keston/Ideal). Their guide Nickson is on the right in the blue jacket.

The expedition and all associated costs were personally funded, so all the money raised goes to SACRED (South African Children’s Resource for Educational Development). The trek to the summit took five days.

Donations can be made by cheque payable to SACRED Trust and send to Elaine Redmore, Ideal Boilers, PO Box 103, National Avenue, Hull HU5 4JN.
