Air curtains can provide an effective method of reducing energy costs in air-conditioned buildings

The energy required by an air-conditioning system can be reduced by installing air curtains or upgrading them to more efficient units, according to Dimplex. Air curtains are easy to retrofit in buildings where an air-conditioning system is already installed and can provide an effective method of reducing energy consumption for organisations affected by the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme.

Air curtains are a relatively low-cost and effective way of increasing the efficiency of a whole air-conditioning installation, maintaining comfort and saving energy, reducing whole facility running costs and carbon emissions.

To further reduce energy use, Dimplex air-curtain systems have enhanced control options — including time, presence and temperature control. Efficiency can often be improved by linking the operation of multiple air curtains to avoid conflicting operation.

Dimplex offers a wide range of surface and recessed air curtains for doorways from 3 to 6 m high
